Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Northern Light Acadia Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide therapeutic care and support to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.
  • Respond to patient needs, taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptoms.
  • Take a mindful and thoughtful approach to all patient interactions, maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Function within the patient care team, focusing on successful treatment and stabilization.
  • Maintain a safe environment, complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures, and reporting environmental hazards and patient safety policy violations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Ability to work with computers, typing, reading, and writing.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Lifting, moving, and loading less than 20 pounds.
