Position Overview:
As a CDL Service Porter at Transwest, your primary responsibility will be to maneuver vehicles throughout the Transwest facility while also managing the pickup and delivery of recreational vehicles, as well as medium and heavy-duty trucks to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Transport trucks to and from customers.
- Operate both customer and company vehicles within the Transwest premises.
- Conduct minor detailing tasks on vehicles.
- Welcome customers upon arrival.
- Handle service inquiries and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues in vehicles.
- Assess vehicle condition through pre- and post-use inspections.
- Maintain logs and reports of vehicle inspections.
- Choose safe routes for vehicle transportation.
- Adhere to safe driving practices in compliance with company policies and traffic regulations.
- Complete necessary documentation such as driver logs and authorization forms.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and upkeep.
- Follow all DOT regulations diligently.
- Perform road tests for technicians as required.
- Execute additional tasks as directed by management.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
- Frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for extended periods is necessary.
- Tasks may be performed in areas lacking ventilation or air conditioning.
- Requires coordination to operate machinery effectively.
- Must possess full body motion capabilities, including lifting and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to enter and exit vehicles comfortably.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Normal hearing and vision capabilities are required.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for data entry tasks are essential.

Equipment Operation:
- May need to operate equipment such as forklifts or manual pallet jacks safely.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Professional demeanor and courteous communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass background checks, physicals, and drug screenings.

Job Details:
Type: Hourly
Compensation Range: $17.00 - $26.00
Bonus Eligibility: No
Reports To: Service Manager
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
