Software Development Specialist

Job Summary
Core One is a dynamic and growing company that values exceptional performance. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver web and mobile applications.
- Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and production support for software systems.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications based on requirements, and on input from subject matter experts.
- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
- Mentor team members to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR 10+ additional years relevant experience in lieu of education.
- ~8+ years relevant software development experience.
- ~ Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
- ~ Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
- ~ Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
- ~ Proficient with Linux and shell scripting.
- ~ Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Experience with computer network defense and related cybersecurity practices.
