Job Summary

Core One is a dynamic and growing company that values exceptional performance. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver web and mobile applications.
  • Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and production support for software systems.
  • Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications based on requirements, and on input from subject matter experts.
  • Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
  • Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
  • Mentor team members to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
  • Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR 10+ additional years relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • ~8+ years relevant software development experience.
  • ~ Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
  • ~ Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
  • ~ Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • ~ Proficient with Linux and shell scripting.
  • ~ Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Experience with computer network defense and related cybersecurity practices.
