Job Overview

Northstrat is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team of innovators. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications using the latest technologies and frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, and retrospectives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve software development processes

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and cloud-based technologies
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI is required to start

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in web platform technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of database systems, including PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Experience with source code management tools, such as Git
  • Experience with container management, including Kubernetes
  • Current Security+ certification or willingness to obtain
