About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as the President of UNC Faculty Physicians. As a key member of the UNC Health leadership team, the President will play a critical role in bridging the clinical excellence of UNC Health and the academic excellence of the UNC School of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the strategic direction and operational activities of UNC Faculty Physicians, ensuring alignment with system efforts.
- Partner with the President of UNC Hospitals to facilitate a strong collaborative approach to patient care, hospital efficiency, market strategy, and workforce engagement.
- Lead the integration efforts of the Faculty Practice across UNC Physicians and all UNC Health hospitals, especially the UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
- Build robust relationships with other key leaders across UNC Health to ensure operations are closely aligned with broader system goals.
- Lead the Clinical Chairs and support the academic environment, promoting research and educational activities of the academic faculty.
- Ensure that clinical practices align with and support academic objectives, enhancing research opportunities and educational outcomes.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree required from an accredited institution Board certified in appropriate discipline
- Active and current state medical license without encumbrances.
- Requires 12 years of progressively responsible experience within a hospital or large healthcare system, including 10 years of experience in people management
