Job Summary:
UNC Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities:
1. Clinical- Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, review and interpret diagnostic tests/results. Develop treatment plans, including prescribing/ordering evidence-based pharmacological agents consistent with departmental guidelines and privileging. Actively incorporate hospital initiatives to improve patient care. Conduct preventive health screenings based on age, history, and patient needs. Maintain clear, comprehensive records of patient care.
2. Education- Educate clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with clinicians, staff, and students to promote continuity and patient-centered care. Develop educational materials based on learning needs. Provide education/instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students.
3. Leadership- Provide instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students, including precepting, shadowing, lectures, training classes, CE, rounds, morning report, and/or staff meetings. Participate in community/network outreach programs. Develop/lead community/network outreach programs.
4. Professional- Interact with patients and families in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion using appropriate communication. Interact collaboratively with coworkers, other team members, and staff in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion. Respond quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems. Accept responsibility for outcomes of one's work.
5. Quality/Research- Engage in daily continuous quality improvement by identifying and implementing processes for improvement. Consult with management in assessment, problem-solving, decision-making, and evaluating clinical/system issues and models of care.

Requirements:
Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina. Board certification if required by the Department. DEA. No prior experience required. Demonstrated clinical competency, effective leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
