Medical Records Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team at LIFE-NWPA. As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our participants.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain medical records for each participant
- Filing and requesting medical records from outside sources
- Assist with coordinating transportation arrangements for scheduled appointments
- Prepare correspondence and reports using word processing skills
- Maintain and enter all data on participants for program reporting and evaluation
- Attend required meetings and provide clerical support for Center staff
- Participate in and support Quality Improvement initiatives
- Medical records transcription skills, word processing, and data entry experience
- Ability to relate well with people of all ages, with a deep sensitivity and commitment to the elderly
- Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks
- Ability to address/manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Medical record or coding education
- Three to Five Years experience in medical records management, or coding
- One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or willing to participate in extensive training as needed
