Job Title: Medical Records Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team at LIFE-NWPA. As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain medical records for each participant
  • Filing and requesting medical records from outside sources
  • Assist with coordinating transportation arrangements for scheduled appointments
  • Prepare correspondence and reports using word processing skills
  • Maintain and enter all data on participants for program reporting and evaluation
  • Attend required meetings and provide clerical support for Center staff
  • Participate in and support Quality Improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Medical records transcription skills, word processing, and data entry experience
  • Ability to relate well with people of all ages, with a deep sensitivity and commitment to the elderly
  • Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks
  • Ability to address/manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
  • Completion of High School or equivalent
  • Medical record or coding education
  • Three to Five Years experience in medical records management, or coding
  • One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or willing to participate in extensive training as needed
