T.J. Maxx is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Detective to join our Asset Protection team. As a Loss Prevention Detective, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets and ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies to prevent and investigate incidents of theft and dishonesty.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity within the organization, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Observe, apprehend, and/or deter any acts of dishonesty from outside sources, working closely with law enforcement and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft and dishonesty, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine the facts and recommend appropriate action.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and mitigate losses, working closely with store management and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
