Smith Chason College is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Instructor - Weekend VN to join our team. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and guidance to students in their pursuit of becoming skilled and caring nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective instruction that aligns with the approved syllabi, guidelines, and program standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow department team members to foster an engaging learning environment and facilitate student success.
  • Model professionalism in dress, action, and communication.
  • Empower students to achieve their academic goals and prepare them for a future in the medical workforce.
Requirements
  • Must meet the minimum qualifications set by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Must have a minimum of four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught and possess a related degree at least at the same level as the course the faculty member is teaching.
  • Must have strong technical skills including all computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
  • Experienced with Canvas or related LMS usage for instruction (assignments, quizzes, discussion boards, gradebook, modules) is preferred.

Must be able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time. Can independently move objects up to 25 lbs. Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, other office machinery, and perform repetitive motions. Must have sufficient hearing and speaking ability to communicate in person or on the phone/computer with others.
