We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rights Hub Manager to join our team at Universal Music Group. As a key member of our Business and Legal Affairs department, you will play a critical role in managing our rights and royalties data.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date rights and royalties data in our Rights Hub application.
- Collaborate with our Label Business Affairs team to interpret contractual language and ensure data accuracy.
- Work closely with our Royalties Business Affairs team to ensure timely capture of royalties provisions and manage communication between teams.
- Facilitate approval of rights and royalties provisions by relevant label attorneys in a timely manner.
- Link agreements to relevant repertoire and contributors, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
- Stay up-to-date with deal negotiation status, contractual amendments, and other changes that impact our rights and royalties data.
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
- Familiarity with recording agreements and rights management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient technical skills, with experience using web-based applications.
- 2-3 years of experience in the music industry, preferably in rights management or a related field.
- A competitive salary range of $66,650 - $125,662, depending on experience and qualifications.
