Investigative Journalism Capacity Building Specialist

About the Position
Dexis Consulting Group is hiring a seasoned Journalism Training and Development Expert to lead the development of a three-year training plan for Timor-Leste journalists. The training program aims to strengthen the capacity of national journalists to conduct research-based investigative journalism with anti-corruption and good governance perspectives.
The selected candidate will work closely with the AJTL and relevant partners to design and deliver the training program. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in journalism training, with a focus on research-based investigative journalism and anti-corruption issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive three-year training plan to build capacity of national journalists in research-based investigative journalism.
- Design and deliver a specialized training program for Timor-Leste journalists to enhance their skills in research-based investigative journalism.
- Provide guidance and support to AJTL journalists as they engage in investigative journalism.
Requirements:
- Relevant university education in journalism or a related field (or 10 years of professional experience plus a degree in a related technical area).
- At least 5 years of experience in journalism training, preferably in research-based investigative journalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently.
