We seek highly motivated Investigative Research Specialists to join our team of expert investigators based in New York City, Washington DC, San Francisco, and other locations. As an Investigative Research Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research on companies and individuals globally to uncover legal, regulatory, and reputational risks for our clients.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting due diligence research on people and companies worldwide;
  • Digging into public records and data repositories, from complex litigation records to corporate filings and property records;
  • Analyzing and distilling findings into comprehensive written reports for clients;
  • Briefing case managers and partners on findings in a clear and professional manner;
  • Possibly conducting other types of investigations, such as research to support litigators and compliance professionals.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited university; an advanced degree is a plus;
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate large amounts of complex information in a concise and compelling manner;
  • Strong research and writing skills, with superior attention to detail;
  • Ability to juggle casework and meet strict deadlines;
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel);
  • English fluency and strong writing skills in English are mandatory.

Additionally, experience with public records, research databases (e.g., Westlaw, Nexis), open-source research, and/or interviewing is desired.
