Ryder is seeking a skilled Senior Diesel Technician to join our team in Tukwila, WA. As a Senior Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections & repairs.

Responsibilities:

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems
Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs
Replaces defective components as instructed
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
Basic tools, required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred

Additional Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
