Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement SAFE Family Recovery in the region, overseeing the implementation of this program.
  • Supervise Recovery Support Specialists and MDFR Specialists, ensuring they meet their responsibilities and goals.
  • Monitor staff completion of training and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Submit data and reports to the Department of Children and Families as required by contract, maintaining accurate and timely reporting.
  • Write reports for programs and DCF as required by contract, providing clear and concise documentation.
  • Attend client case consultation and service planning meetings as requested, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Serve as the local program point of contact for DCF, other community providers, and the juvenile courts, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for the supervision and management of staff assigned, including establishing a positive working environment, recruiting and hiring qualified employees, and providing orientation and on-the-job training.

Establish short and long-term goals that are measurable and obtainable, ensuring that these expectations are clearly communicated and understood by all direct and indirect reports.

Review and approve applicable timesheets, overseeing the daily responsibilities of direct reports to ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Provide year-round feedback to employees, counseling, coaching, and training resources and support as necessary, referring performance concerns to next-level managers and the Human Resources Department.

Complete timely staff performance evaluations, outlining clear goals and expectations, securing applicable signatures and approvals, and processing paperwork.

Requirements
  • Masters degree required.
  • Fully Licensed or Affiliate Licensure in social work, marriage and family, professional counseling, or a similar field required.
  • Considerable experience working in the adult substance use field, serving families involved with child protective services, is preferred.
  • Achieve and maintain supervisor certification in MDFR, Recovery Support Services, and SBIRT, participating in ongoing quality assurance activities.
  • Compliance with current State of Connecticut and federal health and vaccine requirements.
  • Attend annual Conflict of Interest training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff for effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and planning skills.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 are required.
  • Willingness to provide community-based services with regional travel.
  • Willingness to respond to company cell phone during regular work hours and potentially provide after-hours cell phone coverage.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work on multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook); internet.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
