Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at Autism Behavioral Health. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing in-home or center-based services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis treatment (ABA) to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including behavior management, discrete trial training, pivotal response training, social skills, and parent education.
  • Collect data using an accurate and proper data collection system throughout each session.
  • Attend family and team meetings as directed by the Clinical Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or approved by the Clinical Manager or Clinical Director.
Requirements
  • Possess a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Be self-motivated, responsible, honest, articulate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Present a professional demeanor, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent time management skills.
  • Be able to maintain professional boundaries and composure, and work well under pressure.
  • Be comfortable working in homes of families with limited resources and interacting with individuals and families who may be uncooperative or aloof.
  • Implement behavior modification strategies and discrete trial teaching under agency supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with others (clients, family members, agency staff, etc.).
  • Be able to accept, follow, and implement direction from agency representatives.
  • Be creative, spontaneous, independent, and animated in your gestures, facial expressions, and voice interactions.
  • Be able to stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend over, crouch down, walk, and sit/play on the floor for an extended period.
  • Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance from another adult.
  • Have reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle.
