About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Success Coach to join our team at Charter College. As a Student Success Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the College's student retention efforts and contributing to the overall success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retention and Support: Manage the retention process and outcomes by heading up campus retention efforts, working with staff and faculty to identify at-risk students, and resolving educational barriers.
  • Proactive Approaches: Participate in SAP and S4 meetings to discuss and create action plans to retain at-risk students, providing regular solution-based feedback to team members.
  • Student Onboarding: Manage the successful onboarding of new students into the Charter College educational environment, collaborating with the Student Academic Manager and Campus leadership.
  • Satisfactory Academic Progress: Engage and resolve students' issues of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), ensuring academic plans are completed timely and setting plan timelines for follow-through.
  • Student Engagement: Maintain routine contact with current student base and re-entered students to ensure the success of the student population.
  • Process Improvement: Manage proactive processes to improve student performance by intervening regarding attendance, grades, postings, etc., through daily monitoring of Moodle room activities.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Online or Distance education experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with all types of people, assume facilitator and problem-solver roles, and multi-task.
  • Flexibility and ability to complete assigned project(s).
  • Ability to work independently and communicate professionally and effectively.
