About the Role:

The Patient Navigator Advocate at Mid Cities Psychiatry is a vital position that requires exceptional customer service and a positive attitude. This full-time role involves managing appointment schedules, processing payments, and coordinating follow-up care both in-person and via telehealth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Experience: Provide a welcoming patient experience and promote a positive atmosphere.
  • Check-ins/outs: Handle patient check-ins/outs, educate patients, and manage payments.
  • Workflow Management: Answer in-person inquiries at the Front Desk and stay updated on workflow changes.
  • Electronic Medical Reporting (EMR): Understand and navigate the EMR system.
  • Patient Flow: Manage patient flow and scheduling, ensuring timely care by providers.
  • Payment Planning: Set up payment plans and verify insurance for behavioral and primary care services.
  • Collections and Scheduling: Meet or exceed key metrics for collections and scheduling.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals at the clinic, including providers and medical assistants, to ensure high-quality care to patients.
  • Complex Issues Resolution: Address and resolve complex issues promptly while aligning actions with Mid Cities Psychiatry values.
  • Patient Documentation: Document patient interactions and promote additional services.
  • Escalations: Manage escalations effectively and ensure appropriate follow-through.
  • Operational Support: Operational support for practice, including organizing and maintaining patient areas.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation.
  • 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and past EMR experience (iPatientCare).

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
