Job Summary:

The Senior / Principal Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for establishing and operationalizing the Power Operations data governance program. This includes developing a data governance charter, establishing a governance structure, and creating key data governance deliverables such as a data glossary, data lineage, and data ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and operationalize the Power Operations data governance program
  • Develop a data governance charter, governance structure, and operational model
  • Create key data governance deliverables, including a data glossary, data lineage, and data ownership
  • Represent Power Operations within Enterprise Data Management
  • Facilitate data quality issues and business working sessions to establish current state and future state improvements
Requirements:
  • Superior organization and written communication skills
  • Proficient in organizational change management or project management, especially interfacing with and winning support from operational stakeholders
  • Familiarity with energy markets, ISO/RTOs, power transmission scheduling, and financial processes
  • Ability to question the current state of existing data quality and data models
  • Ability to influence without authority
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Calibra, Alation, or other data management tool experience
  • Visio or equivalent schematic or documentation software experience
  • Tableau or other data visualization software experience
  • Snowflake or similar cloud-computing based data software experience
