Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical and Procedural Coordinator to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities, documentation, and transfer of information related to scheduling and preparing patients for in-office appointments, surgical procedures, and related testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate office schedules and act as liaison between relevant offices, departments, external resources, and individuals to achieve appropriate preparation arrangements.
  • Establish the needs of patients, providers, facilities, and payors to arrange an outcome that meets all requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, providers, and external partners to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document and communicate patient information.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely preparation of patients for procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree desirable.
  • 2 years prior medical office experience required; prior experience with direct clinical patient contact in a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of medical terminology, advanced computer skills, and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to deal with patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Working Knowledge of CPT/ICD9/ICD 10 Coding desirable.
