Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Studio Arts courses at Northern VA Community College.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Studio Arts courses to students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Develop and implement course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
  • Adhere to college policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Studio Arts.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Studio Arts or a related field.
  • 18 graduate semester hours in Studio Arts.
  • Qualifying degrees and coursework from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MFA in Studio Arts.
  • Experience teaching Studio Arts courses at the college level.
  • Prior experience teaching in higher education.
  • Experience teaching in various formats, including classroom, hybrid, and online.

Working Conditions:

Adjunct faculty members are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session.
