Job Summary

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher - Inclusion Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons that meet the needs of all students, participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings and professional development, and collaborate with other team members to improve teaching practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning and Instruction
    • Design and implement unit plans and lessons that meet the needs of all students with clear, standard-aligned objectives and appropriate assessments.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings and professional development to internalize content, teaching moves, and classroom management.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Participate in a collaborative learning environment with other team members, including grade-level work, content teams, and professional development throughout the school year.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Execute school-based duties, including student conferences, arrival and dismissal, transitions, lunch duty, and other assigned by the school leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Licensure
    • Candidates must have either (a) a valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement to teach or (b) a valid out-of-state license that can successfully be transferred to Tennessee within 90 days of employment, or (c) demonstrate they are on track to complete the necessary steps towards certification in Tennessee.

Compensation and Benefits

Our teacher salary is based on years of certified experience and ranges from $51,500-$75,250, including a signing bonus of up to $10,000 to be paid in three installments. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan and the opportunity to impact a growing, mission-driven organization committed to the success of all students.
