Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to lead our Transportation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation of goods, managing a team of drivers and associates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead with a safety-first mindset to ensure the well-being of our associates, customers, and the general public.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs to maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee and develop drivers and associates through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates.
- Build high-performing teams by participating in interviewing and hiring, reviewing performance, and delivering disciplinary action.
- Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently.
- Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
- Experience as a driver a plus.
- Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Strong understanding of DOT requirements and familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
This role requires occasional travel, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the physical activities required for the job, including standing, walking, driving, and lifting.
BenefitsThis role is eligible for a competitive salary range of $66,000 to $88,000, annual incentive plan, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
