Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to lead our Transportation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of drivers and transportation associates, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and processes to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Oversee the maintenance of driver qualification files and investigate all accidents to identify causes and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with senior transportation managers to develop and implement strategies to improve transportation operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
- Experience as a driver a plus.
- Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Strong understanding of DOT requirements and familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Competitive salary range of $66,000 to $88,000.
- Annual incentive plan.
