Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to lead our Transportation department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation of goods, managing a team of drivers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of drivers and transportation associates to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods
- Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs to maintain a safety-first culture
- Oversee driver qualification files and investigate accidents to identify causes and implement preventative measures
- Effectively schedule working shifts and manage driver productivity
- Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently
- Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills
- Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Competitive salary range of $66,000 to $88,000
- Annual incentive plan

This role requires frequent travel, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Physical QualificationsThe job requires occasional standing, walking, driving, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulder, twisting, grasping objects, manipulating objects, and manual dexterity.
