We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our Cardiac Medicine and Surgery team at Mass General Brigham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of educational programs, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects that enhance patient care and nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, and implement educational programs for staff development, research, and quality improvement.
- Partner with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to develop and implement evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Associate Chief Nurse of the division to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
- Develop and maintain budgets for programmatic work and monitor expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
- Participate in hospital surveys and ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
- MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Specialty certification in Cardiac Medicine or Surgery required.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Minimum 5 years of Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing experience and 5 years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression.
