Position Summary:

As a Sanitation Worker, your role is crucial in upholding high standards of Food Safety and Product Quality through the thorough cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleaning and sanitation align with the company's Master Sanitation Program.
  • Employ chemicals and cleaning agents effectively to sanitize processing area walls, floors, and equipment.
  • Utilize sanitation tools and refuse equipment safely and correctly.
  • Remove debris from processing areas efficiently.
  • Communicate chemical supply levels to management promptly.
  • Monitor and document facility conditions to guarantee compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Verify the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation procedures on equipment and areas, completing necessary documentation.
  • Record actions taken in response to any unsatisfactory observations regarding Equipment, Utensils, and Process Area conditions.
  • Conduct testing as required.
  • Maintain safety protocols within the plant.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Provide backup support for other duties as necessary.
  • Achieve certification as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required Qualifications:

  • No prior experience necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sanitation tools and chemicals, food safety protocols, and safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks.

Compensation:

The starting pay is $20.00, commensurate with experience.
