VP of Land Acquisition and Development

The Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development at Century Communities is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, entitlement, and development of new communities. This role requires a strong understanding of land planning, entitlements, and development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the land acquisition process, including identifying and evaluating new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the entitlement process, including working with local governments, consultants, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Develop and implement land development strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of new communities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as land use planning, civil engineering, or business administration.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in land acquisition, development, and entitlements, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of land planning, entitlements, and development processes, including local regulations and permitting requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions, with a focus on driving business results.
