Job Summary

Saulsbury Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary engineering and project execution team, you will provide mechanical engineering support to assigned projects, ensuring the development of effective designs, drawings, and documentation to meet client/owner requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor for work process and job assignments.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to support the creation of deliverables.
  • May be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Supervise junior Engineers, designers, and draftsmen to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents and drawings produced.
  • Ensure drawings and engineering documents are accurate and complete.
  • Develop detailed designs for specific segments, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  • Produce engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of procedures and practical skills to deliver results.
  • Lead and guide discipline-specific teams in the preparation and coordination of design basic or detail drawings, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to required quality standards.
  • Deliverables are accurately presented within the timeframe and workforce budget.
  • Bring solutions to complex problems.
  • Review and resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of applicable industry experience in the specification of compressors, pumps, exchangers, flares, tanks, relief valves, piping systems, etc. for energy or petrochemical facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Texas Professional Engineering license with capability for multistate licensure.
  • Experience with application of pertinent industry codes.
  • Experience with Hexagon Caesar II software preferred.
  • Proven success in developing and executing projects, including objectives, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Tenacious, results-oriented approach to work, with high-quality work standards.
  • Impeccable personal and professional ethics.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit 1/3 to 2/3's of the scheduled work shift.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, walk upstairs, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, work with hands and fingers, and carry between 5 and 15 pounds periodically through the work shift.
  • Ability to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, compute, evaluate, and compile materials during the work shift.
  • Office environment - indoor with low to moderate levels of noise.
  • May be required to observe construction progress outdoors by walking or driving to or on the site over rough or uneven terrain which may be dusty, muddy, wet, and noisy.
  • Minimal Travel Required.
