Job Overview:
This role is crucial for the mechanical maintenance and servicing of all machinery.

The incumbent is tasked with executing routine and moderately complex scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and conducting necessary repairs under general supervision, adhering to company protocols in a safe manner.

This position reports indirectly to the Maintenance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Diagnoses issues on various types of oil well service machinery based on field reports, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tests and interpreting the findings.

Conducts required repairs based on mechanical troubleshooting.

Performs routine and moderately complex scheduled maintenance or repair tasks, including overhauling engines and transmissions.

Maintains and repairs machinery and mechanical systems, such as motors, pumps, belts, conveyors, fans, air conditioning units, etc.

Disassembles machines to repair or replace defective components, cleans, and lubricates parts.

Inspects mechanical systems to identify issues, adjusting functional components as necessary.

May review completed repairs performed by less experienced mechanics.

May conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including annual DOT inspections.

May work in a workshop or field environment based on assignments or location.


May be assigned to rig operations in accordance with company procedures and receive specialized training regarding hazardous conditions.

Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Ensures the use of appropriate safety equipment while on duty (when applicable):

Goggles, face shields, or safety glasses

Ear protection

Steel-toed footwear

Hard hats

Safety harnesses

Fall protection devices

SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus)

H2S detection equipment

Protective chemical suits

Gloves

Flame-resistant uniforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a mechanic or in a comparable role.


Possession of a Class C license, or a valid Class A or B driver's license depending on the vehicle operated.

Knowledge and skills in the repair or preventive maintenance of well service equipment/vehicles.

Proficient in rebuilding, inspecting, and repairing equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as overhauling engines and transmissions.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Demonstrates safe work practices and effective teamwork.

Must successfully pass post-employment drug and alcohol testing.
