Key Responsibilities

  • Collect samples of products for shift analysis.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow meter readings, documenting them accurately while troubleshooting any deviations from normal operating conditions.
  • Maintain logs of gauge readings and production data using both paper and electronic systems.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and safety showers.
  • Perform chemical analyses on product samples to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Inspect equipment to identify malfunctions and complete electronic work orders for maintenance.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance following Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Adhere to all Life Critical procedures and ensure proper documentation.
  • Operate valves and controls to maintain specified system parameters.
  • Coordinate with loading racks for storage alignment.
  • Initiate acid and water pumps as required.
  • Report any concerns or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Complete required rounds and document findings.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and good operating practices.
  • Review management of changes, incident reports, and operating instructions before each shift.
  • Communicate troubleshooting efforts and results to team members and supervisors.
  • Follow interlock and alarm bypass procedures, ensuring removal when no longer necessary.
  • Complete necessary training and qualifications as specified by supervisors.
  • Be accountable for the health and safety of yourself and fellow personnel.
  • Conduct patrols to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.
  • Assist with turnaround duties as directed by the Area Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other units and personnel regarding production and shutdowns.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks as per labor agreements.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of sonicore guns in the furnace.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and housekeeping within the unit.
  • Participate in safety meetings to discuss safety and environmental concerns.
  • Invoke the "Stop Work" policy whenever conditions are unsafe.
  • Complete required computer-based training for HSE compliance.
  • Engage in safety committees as necessary.
  • Report unsafe conditions or procedural discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Review management of changes and incident reports prior to shifts.
  • Complete work permits as required.
  • Inspect equipment for leaks and malfunctions.
