Position Overview:
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in delivering clinical pharmacy services aimed at enhancing patient outcomes through the implementation of safe and cost-effective medication therapies. This role involves the coordination and management of clinical pharmacy services, ensuring that systems are in place to support optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and execution of clinical pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective medication management.
- Maintain compliance with New York State pharmacy regulations and continuing education requirements.
- Utilize pharmacy distribution systems and various computer applications, including databases and spreadsheets.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and foster teamwork.
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities within a hospital setting.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an accredited institution.
- Current New York State pharmacy license.
- Valid NYS Driver's License and car insurance.
- Preferred completion of residency training from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital environment.
- Proficient in personal computer applications, including word processing and data management.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
