We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Medical Department. This role is essential in providing quality healthcare within a correctional facility. The RN will oversee and assess nursing care in alignment with our organizational philosophy, objectives, and standards.

Available Shifts: Opportunities include part-time day or night shifts, as well as per diem roles.
Key Responsibilities:The Registered Nurse will be tasked with ensuring compliance with established nursing protocols. Additional responsibilities include:
- Monitoring treatment services to prevent misuse or redundancy of care.
- Consulting with the Health Services Administrator and Nurse Supervisor regarding any issues that arise.
- Evaluating and suggesting improvements for operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Assisting in the coordination of monthly healthcare staff meetings as directed.
- Performing various duties as assigned by supervisory nursing staff.
- Maintaining precise records of controlled substances and medical supplies in accordance with legal regulations.
- Providing health education and counseling to patients.
- Conducting health assessments and offering provisional diagnoses for minor ailments as per established protocols.
- Documenting patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and contributing to the nursing care plan.
- Implementing care plans aimed at promoting and restoring patient health.
- Conducting vital sign assessments and comprehensive evaluations at the start of each shift for all patients in the medical unit.
This position includes a comprehensive two-week orientation period, allowing for on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced nursing staff.
