Position Overview:

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in delivering clinical pharmacy services. This includes the establishment, execution, and upkeep of systems aimed at enhancing patient outcomes through the application of safe and cost-effective medication therapies. The individual will oversee the development, execution, and sustainability of clinical pharmacy services. Additionally, this role encompasses responsibilities as a Staff Pharmacist.
  • Must possess a valid license to practice Pharmacy in New York State, along with a NYS Driver's License and car insurance. Adherence to NYS continuing education requirements is essential.
  • Graduation from an accredited pharmacy institution with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm D) is required.
  • Residency training from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting as a clinical pharmacist is necessary.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy distribution systems and computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and charting software is expected.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts calmly. Demonstrates leadership capabilities.
  • Prior experience in a hospital environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in personal computer use, including word processing. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Ability to independently take initiative and exercise sound judgment in decision-making. Capable of working efficiently under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional maturity that consistently sets a positive tone in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • High standards of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality. Shows flexibility and readiness to accept new responsibilities as assigned. Ability to perform under stress.
