Crisis Intervention Specialist

About the Role:
Crisis Intervention Specialists at Northwest Human Services provide 24-hour crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, and brief supportive counseling over the phone to clients experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, and/or seeking information on available mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment screening, safety planning, follow-up support, and advocacy based on client's assessed needs.
- Work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
- Use appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills while working with individuals who may be very escalated or experiencing acute crisis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or behavioral health sciences field, or combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training, or experience.
- Eligibility to obtain/maintain a QMHA-R level certification.
