Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a key member of the Aramark team, responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and direct a team of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, including rooms, linens, hallways, and carpets.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping staff report to duty on time, well-groomed, and in proper attire.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of schedules, duties, and policies for housekeeping staff.
  • Train housekeeping staff on Aramark policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Ensure effective guest relations and administer lost and found policy and procedure.
  • Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure prompt repairs and cleaning.
  • Direct the control of linen counts and handling, and maintain an inventory of rooms.
  • Order and distribute supplies and equipment, controlling costs.
  • Responsible for the motivation and productivity of housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure that all work areas are neat, clean, and organized.
Requirements
  • One year of previous supervisory or three years lead experience in housekeeping functions preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistics.
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
