Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Rivers Edge Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures, minimizing delays and complications.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a hospital or surgical center.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods of time.
