Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Rivers Edge Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, adhering to hospital policies and procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures, communicating effectively and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a high level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a surgical setting, with a strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
