About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate as a surgical team member, preparing the OR and setting up for procedures.
  • Identify and assemble surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies to assist the surgical team.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to aseptic technique standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the physician in the scrub role during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating needs for instruments and supplies.
  • Perform sponge, sharps, and other counts accurately, accounting for all instruments and items on the field.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • 1+ year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • Must meet one of the following certification requirements: Certified Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) Certification, or Allina in-house BLS training.
