Role Overview:


Salesforce boasts one of the most exceptional Information Security teams globally, and expanding this segment of our business is a primary focus. Trust and security are our utmost values.

As a member of the Security Control Planes Team, your mission will be to safeguard Salesforce assets against potential threats.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with evaluating, implementing, and enhancing Salesforce's array of security tools to ensure essential control and monitoring at an enterprise scale.

We seek an individual contributor eager to utilize their existing security development expertise, automate current operations, and minimize operational burdens to create supportive services.


Required Skills:
Familiarity with Endpoint Security Solutions
Experience in operating, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring endpoint security applications
Coordinate and deploy various security tools across all Salesforce endpoints
Experience with Public Cloud and supporting systems deployment, configuration management, and application installations within AWS (EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, EC2, SQS), GCP, and/or Azure core services
A minimum of 3 years in Linux systems engineering/operations within a DevOps environment
Proficient scripting/coding skills (e.g., Go, Python, Shell scripting) for automation
Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Helm, Ansible, or Chef
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
CI/CD pipeline setup and optimization
Strong troubleshooting skills for endpoint and network issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for documentation purposes

Responsibilities:
Enhance our automation for platform support services to decrease operational burdens
Develop monitoring metrics and system health assessments, identifying areas for improvement
Deploy and manage large-scale distributed systems in both public and private clouds, including multi-region and multi-cloud deployments
Design, install, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot our endpoint security monitoring infrastructure
Resolve network, hardware, and operating system issues/bottlenecks
Conduct root-cause analysis across multiple systems in a highly distributed global environment

Desired Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, demonstrating composure and competence in high-pressure situations
Fundamental understanding of accepted security practices, troubleshooting issues, attack vectors, and customer support
Experience in large-scale systems management
Proficient in one or more programming languages, with a preference for Python
Ability to deliver Agile projects and familiarity with SCRUM practices
DevOps experience with skills in containers, microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications
Up-to-date with the latest industry trends; capable of articulating trends and potential clearly and confidently

For roles based in Washington, the base salary hiring range for this position is $151,800 to $208,800. For roles based in California, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $227,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
