Medical Care Provider

The Physician Assistant at South Central Family Health Center provides high-quality, patient-centered care to the diverse community of inner-city Los Angeles. This role involves providing direct preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic healthcare services, including examining patients, obtaining medical history, and prescribing medications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working in a community clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough medical examinations and obtain patient medical history
* Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed
* Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
* Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, together with a certificate from an American Medical Association-approved physician assistant program
* Valid Physician's Assistant License and current BLS certification
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a community clinic setting, with some clinical experience in an area of specialty preferred
