Primary Care Medical Services Provider

University Muslim Medical Association, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care medical services to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting thorough medical examinations, and developing effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Elicit and record patient medical history and social determinants of health
- Conduct thorough medical examinations to determine general physical condition
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, pathology results, and radiologist reports as needed
- Prescribe treatments and medication utilizing evidence-based medicine
- Immunize patients against communicable diseases
- Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners as needed
- Perform minor surgery/procedures based on granted privileges
- Develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster a strong physician-patient relationship
- Participate in quality improvement programs, peer review, and clinical meetings
- Provide preventative health care services in accordance with HEDIS and national evidence-based standards
- Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in California
- ANCC or AANP Nurse Practitioner certification
- Active DEA license
- Leadership and/or management skills preferred
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
- Successful completion of a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and criminal background check
- Recommended vaccinations and preventative testing: Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TDAP, TB, Covid-19 (vaccine and booster)
