Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Family Advocacy Program, you will provide critical support and services to victims of domestic abuse, empowering them to take control of their lives and achieve safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 response to victims of domestic abuse, offering confidential and non-clinical emergent and urgent services.
  • Establish and maintain victim safety plans, collaborating with treatment managers and intervention specialists as needed.
  • Develop and review safety plans, ensuring the victim's safety is the top priority.
  • Offer follow-up services to victims, empowering them to advocate for their needs and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with treatment managers, intervention specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated community response to domestic abuse.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Minimum two years of experience assisting and providing advocacy services to victims of domestic abuse or sexual assault.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Advocate credential with designation of Comprehensive Intervention Specialist.
