Staff Accountant, Rebate Management

Compass Corporate is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our Foodbuy Accounting team. As a Rebate Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting of income, and providing valuable financial insights to our internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze NT Supplier Volume Allowance for Compass Group and third-party committed customers.
- Perform trend analysis to ensure all income is reported and any missing volume allowance is accrued prior to field close.
- Accurately and timely report all purchasing balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
- Reconcile AR for assigned suppliers and work to resolve AR issues timely and accurately.
- Prepare and record Journal Entries as needed.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting for internal and external customers.
- Perform daily and month-end tasks timely and accurately.
- Process manual invoices for Category Management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and provide outstanding customer service.
- Review and challenge current processes to identify areas of improvement.
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required and Access database skills a plus.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Experience with a large company preferred (>$3 billion sales).
- Experience processing large volumes of complex data.
- An established reputation for integrity.
