Job Summary

The Loss Prevention / Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of The Arrabelle colleagues, guests, and owners, as well as property assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and respond to potential security and safety hazards, handle complaints, and investigate incidents in a professional and hospitable manner.
  • Monitor CCTV security surveillance systems and maintain accurate records of daily activities, including camera monitoring, shift activity, guest and employee incidents.
  • Train and educate hotel employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with company loss control policies and security regulations.
  • Liaise with fire protection and life safety teams to uphold company standards and goals.
  • Regulate access control services throughout the hotel for employees and guests.
  • Handle medical-related situations and communicate effectively with management and colleagues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certifications preferred.
  • EMT certification preferred.
  • Previous law enforcement, security, EMS, or fire experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in security or loss prevention preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully in English, both written and verbal.
  • Conversational Spanish or other languages helpful.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or sit for long periods.
  • Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight shifts.
Benefits

Vail Resorts offers a competitive salary range of $22.00 - $25.49 per hour, as well as a range of benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
