The Selling Partner Services (SPS) division is seeking a **Senior Finance Strategist** to oversee our **Compliance Operations** team.

The SPS organization comprises over **20,000 professionals** dedicated to supporting Amazon's Selling Partners while safeguarding our customers from fraudulent activities.

The Compliance Operations team is focused on **payment adherence**, encompassing **anti-money laundering** and **Know Your Customer (KYC)** protocols. In this capacity, you will assist in forecasting and reporting on headcount and expenses for the organization.

Moreover, you will facilitate **global, cross-departmental** decisions aimed at cost reduction, serving as the trusted financial advisor for the organization while ensuring high-quality service for Amazon's Selling Partners and Customers.

In this role, you will provide primary financial support to a Director, encompassing technology, operations, and business assistance.



Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a trusted advisor to the Compliance Business, operations, and product teams, establishing their objectives and advising on investment strategies to enhance automation, productivity, and other improvements across their operations.

- Drive the standardization and automation of planning and reporting processes across multiple organizations.

- Analyze operational expenditure variances against the plan and offer insights to business partners, including recommendations for cost savings and process enhancements.

- Collaborate with Senior Leaders (Senior Managers and Director) in the business, product, and operations to address ad-hoc requests such as launching new initiatives, making trade-off decisions, and discussing downstream impacts and return on investment.

- Support internal customer groups in all financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.

- Assist the business on compliance projects to ensure Amazon meets global regulatory requirements while promoting a positive Seller Experience and balancing costs.

Basic Qualifications:

- A minimum of **5 years** of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.

- A **BA or BS** in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) along with **5+ years** of finance experience, or a Master's degree with **3+ years** of finance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Over **6 years** of experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and developing/implementing escalation plans.

- More than **6 years** of experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business outcomes (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).

- An **MBA** or **CPA** certification.

- Proficiency in **SQL/ETL**.

- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

- Experience in delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting data results.
