Job Overview

Position Summary: The Store Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving the Sales and Profit objectives of the store by implementing strategies that ensure an exceptional Customer Experience. The Store Manager reports directly to the Area Sales Manager and oversees various roles including the Store Visual Manager, Department Manager, Department Supervisor, Visual Merchandisers, Cash Office Responsible, and Sales Associates.

Your Responsibilities

Sales and Profit Management:

  • Continuously monitor and assess Sales & Profit KPIs, taking necessary actions to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with store operations, H&M standards, and best practices, including effective scheduling to enhance conversion rates and support commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with the Area and Store teams to prioritize initiatives and provide insights on store allocations to maintain optimal garment levels impacting sales.
  • Manage store maintenance efficiently to align with H&M standards and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Work proactively to prevent losses alongside the Store Team, ensuring adherence to Audit guidelines.
  • Participate actively in executing store routines and tasks, including delivery processing, markdowns, and price adjustments.

Team Leadership:

  • Oversee recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for the Store, in line with H&M best practices.
  • Assess and manage the performance of Store Team members, conducting dialogues, development plans, and feedback sessions to enhance performance.
  • Facilitate clear communication regarding Business Performance, Company Culture & Values, and Store goals through regular meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, and security standards to safeguard employee and customer welfare.
  • Promote a culture of feedback and coaching within the Store Team.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the store's sales and profit.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales figures and employee hours.
