Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:
Vail Resorts is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading daily operations, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily store operations, including scheduling, payroll, and performance monitoring
- Maintain accurate store records, including sales metrics, inventory control, and equipment rentals
- Hire, train, and develop employees in POS system operation, product knowledge, and guest service
- Monitor team performance and behavior, providing feedback and direction as needed
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer questions, suggestions, and complaints
- Participate in leadership forums, providing feedback and input on store performance and continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; business training or education preferred
- 1-3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitasking and managing multiple customers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Fluent communication in English
The expected pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.48. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
