Job Title: Lead

Job Summary:

The Lead plays a vital role in the success of our restaurant by assisting the Concept Manager and Assistant Manager in executing store sales and operational goals. This position is responsible for supervising a team to create and maintain a positive experience for our guests and shift members. The Lead is expected to model and act in accordance with Areas USA's high standards and guiding principles in the absence of the Concept Manager or Assistant Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service and supervise shift employees to ensure they are providing excellent service.
  • Conduct regular store environment reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and direction to the shift to achieve sales and operational goals.
  • Communicate ideas to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager for broader areas of improvement.
  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of Areas USA.
  • Maintain a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume or unusual events and set an example for the shift or team.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • One to two years of employment in a related position.
  • Minimum High School Diploma, some College preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Restaurant environment.
  • Exceptional sales and operational skills in a guest service environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-building and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use discretion in providing direction to others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to act with a "guest comes first" attitude and deliver guest service that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Ability to communicate and execute management directives.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, use hands and fingers, and be able to handle, feel, communicate verbally, and hear. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, taste and smell. The associate is also occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and either lift or move to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8hrs).
