Key Responsibilities

As an IT Support Operations Specialist, you will be expected to possess or develop skills in the following areas:

  • Understanding military messaging formats
  • Composing, dispatching, and managing responses to communications
  • Awareness of message release protocols

Preferred qualifications include training and/or experience in the development and management of military messaging systems, along with familiarity with Command and Control Official Information Exchange (C2OIX).

Experience with functional and/or technical specifications for various operating systems and software applications across secure network systems is also advantageous.

Moreover, adherence to the policies, instructions, and guidelines established by relevant defense organizations is essential. A solid understanding of documentation and protocols regarding message traffic management is required.

Qualifications

General Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years in relevant IT service desk or technical support roles.

At least two (2) years of experience, or a combination of one (1) year of experience and one (1) year of formal training, in military message handling systems and procedures is preferred.


Specialized Experience:
Demonstrated expertise in basic IT troubleshooting and effective techniques for resolving client issues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to interact with government personnel, military staff, and contractors at all levels to ensure satisfaction and compliance with requirements.

Familiarity with Windows 10 and core applications, including Office 2016, Internet Explorer, Adobe products, and other Microsoft applications is desired. Experience with DISA Windows 10 SHB (Secure Host Baseline) and SharePoint 2013 is also beneficial.

Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Candidates should be prepared to meet operational requirements and minimum credential standards as outlined by relevant defense guidelines.

Skills in military messaging formats, message drafting, response management, and knowledge of message release authorities are essential.

Training and/or experience in the development and management of military messaging systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with Command and Control Official Information Exchange (C2OIX) is also a plus.

Experience with functional and/or technical specifications for various operating systems and software applications in secure network environments is preferred.

Compliance with the policies, instructions, and guidelines set forth by relevant defense organizations is mandatory. A thorough understanding of applicable documentation and protocols regarding message traffic handling is crucial.
