About the Role

AECOM is seeking a seasoned Senior Transportation Environmental Planner to join our Texas Environmental Planning and Permitting team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise and manage environmental tasks for public and private transportation and infrastructure clients throughout our US West Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory compliance processes, including NEPA, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act.
  • Manage and prepare NEPA documents, including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements, in accordance with Texas Department of Transportation or other state/federal agency standards.
  • Perform and oversee environmental technical studies and report preparation.
  • Facilitate public and agency outreach.
  • Oversee all aspects of environmental projects, including cost estimates, schedule, and budget.
  • Work with and oversee an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists and manage their project-delivery efforts.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Assist with proposals and business development.
